Beta is over!
Hi there!
It's been a couple of weeks since my last post.
The reason for that is that I have handed in my master's thesis and successfully defended it in middle of January.
However, I also took a couple of weeks without any side project - because the weeks of development were pretty intensive: I worked in my job, tried to be a halfway decent father in the evening, and developed the game most of the time during the night.
Now my head is free and I am hungry to continue this journey, and the best of all - it looks like I will have supporters to kickstart a real playable version of the game!
This also means that I need to take the game offline, so that we can create something that has less scenarios but those are more carefully carried out.
My ideas are to
-End up with 3-4 scenarios which are longer, and technically better set up (content wise)
-Have more interesting game mechanics (not just clicking or typing commands)
-Lipsync!
-Spoken Audio
-Tipps and tricks, analog a quest system - to provide more guidance and in turn offer more flexibility than the current scenario thunnel.
During the next couple of weeks I will try to incorporate these ideas - expecting first progresses until summer. One thing that is currently in evaluation is, if itch.io is still the bst distribution platform or if a cloud setup would be more feasible.
So stay tuned!
Best Regards
M
